October 1, 2011 Sunrise   Leave a comment

I thought it would be fun to capture the Arch at sunrise and sunset on the same day.  We got up early and I was set and ready to go as the first blush of morning began to appear.  Have camera will meet interesting people.  We met an older gentleman that said he was visiting St. Louis, when asked where he was from he said I’m living in Roswell NM but originally from Munich.  About the time I connected the dots, Germany/New Mexico…WWII/German Scientists /Nuclear Weapons Testing in Southwest, he was gone.

When we finished the Arch, we started to head home.  When we got to the surface parking lot near Busch Stadium, I noticed the Arch reflection on the Thomas F. Eagleton (Federal) Courthouse .  An amazingly bright reflection.  Here’s three of my favorite shots of the morning.  Next PM Sunset shots.
